ASP Nuke Tasks:

All This and Message Forums Too
by Kenneth Richards - Friday, September 26, 2003
from the Development dept.

We are proud to announce that we have integrated discussion forums into the ASP Nuke project. You can check them out by clicking here or through links on the Message Forums capsule shown on the left.

Our forums will allow you to enter Ultimate Bulletin Board markup to enhance your posts. This includes a full set of graemlins (or emoticons) to spice up your postings. In this way, the message forums are different from the regular article comments. Article comments can only be plain text for now (though we will probably provide a subset of the UBB markup at a later time.)

The forums contain a familiar format that I'm sure many of you are used to. The board is organized by major topics. Under each topic you will find a listing of message threads. By clicking into a message thread you will see all messages / replies to that particular thread.

Very shortly, we will add the ability for you to upload an icon and define a profile that will help idenify you on the boards. You will also be able to send private messages to other board users. This is similar to a web-mail system integrated with the discussion forums. Users who receive messages will need to login to the forums to see a notice indicating they have messages waiting.

If you have been following our site in the past week or so, I'm sure you have noticed that our site has been advancing rapidly. This will continue until we are completely satisfied that we have a complete product. Please feel free to .
