ASP Nuke Hosting
by Kenneth Richards - Thursday, May 20, 2004
from the Web / Internet dept.
Yeah, I know it's been a while since the last update to ASP Nuke. I want you to rest assured that this project has not been abandoned. It may, however, be taking on a new direction very shortly.
In order to pay for the upkeep and maintenance of the project and pay for hosting and bandwidth usage, I am going to promote ASP Nuke as a commercial product. This is not to say that there will no longer be any GPL releases of the source code. On the contrary, I will be releasing new versions of ASP Nuke in the near future.
I am going to begin hosting ASP Nuke for those people who would be interested in hosting an ASP Nuke application on our servers. Before I created ASP Nuke, I co-founded a hosting and web development company: Orvado Technologies. As part of our services, we are going to start offering a hosting package that includes the following:
- Virtual Windows Hosting Account
- Windows 2000 Advanced Server (IIS 5.0)
- MySQL Database Server
- ASP Nuke 0.75
- 100MB Storage
- 10GB Bandwidth
- Your own domain name
- 5 E-mail addresses
- FTP Access
- Regular Data Backups
- Free and Automatic ASP Nuke Upgrades
You should note that you are not limited to running ASP Nuke on your hosting account. You can write your own custom web pages or use the MySQL database for whatever purpose you like (subject to the terms and restrictions for Orvado Technologies hosting.)
I have not finalized the pricing for this package yet, but it will probably be in the neighborhood of $20 setup and $8 / month. If you would be interested in hosting an ASP Nuke application, please direct your inquiries to us here at [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
