Empower Technologies™ Announces ODM Technologies, Inc., as the First Authorized LinuxDA Embedded™ O/S Consumer Electronics Developer

Empower Technologies Signs Contracts for Licensing, Product Development, Manufacturing and Distribution Initiatives with ODM Technologies, Inc.

Richmond, British Columbia - November 22, 2004 - Empower Technologies (“Empower”) is pleased to announce the signing of four agreements: a LinuxDA Embedded™ O/S For OMAP 5910 OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) License Agreement, an OEM Distribution and License Agreement, a Joint Product Development Agreement, and a Supply Agreement, on October 22 nd, 2004 between ODM Technologies, Inc. ("ODM Technologies") and Empower Technologies, Inc. (“Empower US”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Empower Technologies Corporation (TSX.V: EPT).

Under the terms of the agreements, ODM Technologies will become the first LinuxDA Embedded ™ O/S (LEOs ™ ) licensee for a period starting from November 1, 2004 throughOctober 31, 2007. ODM Technologies will include LEOs ™ as one of their design platforms offered to their customers. ODM Technologies will also joint develop new audio/video products with Empower Technologies ™ . These new consumer audio/video products using Empower's LEOs™ will be introduced and available for release through Empower’s growing distribution and sales channels starting in 2005. The new PowerPlay™ consumer audio/video products will also be available for private label/OEM to both ODM Technologies' and Empower’s customers.  

The above initiatives are part of Empower's strategic plan to accelerate LEOs ™ license penetration through major consumer electronic developers and manufacturers.
